Hollywood wants us to forget...

I wanted to share my outrage and sadness after watching the movie "Serendipity". I found out that the many World Trade Center scenes had been digital removed from the movie.
I had watched the movie for the first time the other night after finding the movie at Wal-Mart. Seeing all the New York skyline views, I was surprised not to have seen the World Trade Center even once. The movie was scheduled for theatre release in Oct. 2001. A quick Google search found many stories mentioning the removal of the towers from this film (and others) so as to be "sensitive". Here is just a couple sites I ran across...

I could understand if the movie was terrorist or violent related. But it was a simple romantic flick. I don't believe we need to "erase" painful memories from our American history. Should we delete John F. Kennedy or the Space Shuttle from all recorded film?
Knowing that all the twin tower images were removed, really took something from the movie. Serendipity was a good flick, but I can't watch it again without searching the skyline and feeling cheated. I just wanted to vent a little bit, and wondered if this bothered anyone else?

Ran across this pic and could not resist posting...Wonder where I could get the T-Shirt!?
Say it aint so.....

twinkies
Just when we thought the supersized value meal was as bad as it could get....Along comes the deep fried twinkie!? What kind of sick twisted freak felt the need to add this to the menu? And why stop there...Let's push the envelope...I want to see Crisco filled Ho Ho's, and batter dipped mayonnaise balls.
Super Sunday
superbowl
Although this Miami Dolphin fan is disappointed that his team is not playing in the superbowl, that small fact will not keep me from watching the game. It is not easy to root for either team, so I have to take the lesser of two evils approach. With the departure of Charlie Wise as the Patriots offensive coordinator, and just the way the balance of powers go, I believe this is New England's last hurrah.
As for the Eagles? Well last years team would have had my blessings. But with this years addition of Terrell Owens ( note: I refuse to call him T.O. ) I cannot accept, nor wish to see that ego-hog showboat having a superbowl ring.
Prediction as follows...Patriots 27 Eagles 13
More Thoughts Of Spring...Midwest style
Wall Cloud
Had to post this other awesome wall cloud picture. Tornado warning issued, but no funnel cloud produced. Hard to see in the picture, but the distant cloud base was murkey green.
Feels Like Spring
Stormy Skies
The tempters reached a record high of 62 yesterday, this reminded me of the spring storms that will be coming in the next couple months. This picture was taken last spring during a severe thunderstorm outbreak...Checkout that awesome floater!...I am going to try and get some good weather pics this year. Well, enough of looking ahead for now, 61 degrees today...40 tomorrow with rain changing to snow. Gotta love it!
