Just when the Britney Spears trashy clothing style appeared to be on it's way out, we can now look forward to an even more revealing replacement for today's kids to emulate. This is the latest fashion to come down the Brazil runway. This "style" may seem a bit extreme and improbable to catch on, but would you really be the mortgage on that? How do you push the envelope after the "low-rise" jeans faze fizzles out? Seems like the next logical sleazy step.

Now before some of you start the "what a prude" or "lighten up ya right wing red state nut", I could care less what an adult woman chooses to wear or how she wishes to portray herself. I am concerned about the young school age girls that are already influenced and peer pressured by the Britney and Christina type "trendy" clothing statements.

I hope this rant is in vain. I just read recently where the modest look was on it's way back. Can't imagine we will be seeing that on any Brazilian runways anytime soon.

I must admit that I am out of the social loop just a bit, but when I ran across a show that was all about the hottest thing going, I never would have guessed "latte art" would be the subject. When ever I order a latte, chai, or mocha ( yes I am down with trendy drinks) the last thing I think about doing is looking at it. It must be the type of establishments I visit, because my drinks are always served in a plastic cup with a lid.

I do have to admit that the web sites I found had some pretty cool latte art displays. Yes...I did go searching for latte art photos after I watched the show. It is safe to say that I will be lifting the lid off my next specialty coffee drink. I have a feeling that I will be visually disappointed, but that won't stop me from ordering another...Dang those things are addictive!

Winter Arrives!!

Winter Arrives

After temps in the 60's a few days ago, I for one was happy to wake up and find that winter has finally decided to make an appearance. I just wish this would have came at Christmas time. This pic was a live view of downtown this morning. I for one enjoy the change of seasons. Once I get tired of cold and snow, spring storms arrive. Then the heat moves in and I am ready for crisp fall days and crunchy leaves.

I hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Year. I am glad it's over, had to work and deal with to many people. All comments and complaints seem minute compared to the tragedy of the tsunami disaster. Catastrophic events sure have a way of reminding us all how fragile and fleeting life can be. May God use this event to bring people and nations closer to him.
