Hundreds showed up at Wisconsin Conservation Congress meetings around Wisconsin on Monday, many to voice their opinion on a proposal to allow hunting of free-roaming cats.
Now I am no PETA activist, and I am sure that a large number of strays can be a problem. But this does not sound like the best way to go about fixing it. I would be willing to bet that any number of volunteers would assist in rounding up the cats and giving them the proper adoption period before being destroyed.
I think a “cat hunt” would just feed the perception many already have that cats should be mistreated if you don’t like them. I love my little kitters as one of the family.
So be warned Wisconsinites, if you come looking in Nebraska for a cat hunt, you may just find one seriously strapped kitty who's sites may be on you!

It could also end up with alot of "civilian casualties."
You know, all those cat hunters baging every cat in sight and Fluffy and Snookums and Bob all turn up missing because they got caught in the war zone while trying to make poopie. -grin-
That's total crap, cat hunting. Can you imagine the tort suits that will come out of this faux pas?! not to mention the fact that cats tend to stick around people, which means you run a substantial risk of hurting innocent by standers. I'm not even going to touch the cat issue. I'm an animal person, so I can't imagine busting out my trusty shot gun or rifle and waiting in cover with poisoned mind to assassinate poor kittens :(

If you were an avid reader of my blog, you in no way could associate my leaning with tree hugging liberals. My overall opinions and thoughts are all here for the veiwing. I would however be interested in reading your about your agenda. Could be quite interesting if not sliightly frightful.
Too bad...The people of Ws have apparently bowed to the pressure exerted by the countless groups of limp wristed liberals and bunny huggers. I doubt any of these group are even from WS or could find it on a map. This reversal should make the blog master happy as h*ll. But what is sad (and disturbing), is the ability of these groups of outsiders and usurpers to wear down the cheddarheads resolve.... and ultimately their abilty to decide for themselves what's best for WS.
