Alien Crossing

caution ? Posted by Hello

A sign warning motorists about pedestrians running across the highway is posted by the side of the highway at the U.S./Mexican border near San Diego.

At the risk of being insensitive, let me make two points:

1) First of all, if you place yourself in danger while committing an illegal act, you deserve no warning signs for protection. For Deere I understand, people are supposed to know better.

2) Is it just me, or does the “family fleeing persecution” look like they just jumped out of a Dick and Jane book? Why not make the “pedestrians” look less like U.S. citizens and more like the illegal aliens that they are?

I wanted to also take a moment and throw my support and admiration for the MinuteMan Project.
Organizers of the MinuteMan project say the U.S. government has failed to stem the flow of migrants across its 2,000-mile southern border, where about a million undocumented immigrants are caught each year, almost half coming through Arizona.
More than a million are thought to get through undetected.
Volunteers from at least 29 states plan to camp out in April on ranches and public land to spot and report illegal immigrants to the U.S. Border Patrol.
No matter what the nationality, those who enter the United States in a criminal fashion and violate our borders, leave a gateway for potential terrorist activity.

On Larry Elder’s show Wednesday night Larry said that the minutemen had reduced criminal immigration by 75%!. Or the rate of criminals crossing the border was only 25% of what it had been before the Minuteman Project! Sounds very positive!
