Freed Italian Left-wing journalist Giuliana Sgrena, claims to been deliberately targeted by U.S. forces….
In my opinion this is a ridicules claim. U.S. Forces are on constant guard against suicide bombers and other terror plots. And in a war time situation innocent people are injured and killed. But I am disgusted with the media saturation of this "unfortunate accident", and an accident is all it was. Just look at the type of statements idiots like Oliviero Diliberto are making.
"I don't believe a word of the American version," said Oliviero Diliberto, head of the Italian Communist party, part of the main left-wing block led by former premier Romano Prodi. "The Americans deliberately fired on Italians....."
This is what I mean by unnecessary media coverage. Since when did this idiot become the voice for the Italian people? And one more thing, do you really believe that if the U.S. were to target the vehicle involved that anything, or anyone would be left to tell about it?

I have lived in Italy and trained with the Italian Army. The idea that an American soldier would intentionally fire on a car (speeding toward their check point) because the soldiers knew the car had Italians in it is beyond aburd. It's just silly. The Italians have been supportive of the Iraq effort, second only to Briton. Is it just possible that an unmarked sedan refusing to follow the soldiers signals to stop may have caused the problem? What is the blast radious of a 1000 pound car bomb any way? Don't know? The soldiers in Bagdad do. Exactly....
Also, I would like to see this blog post more of that metrosexual latte art....

Is it not possible that the US soldiers did this on purpose? Of course it is... at least as likely as them torturing POW's.
