I just love this time of year with all the festive events and Christmas atmosphere beginning to stir. A favorite event is the annual "Holiday Lights Festival" (pictured above) in downtown Omaha along the mall and riverfront.

At six o'clock on Thanksgiving night over one million holiday lights will be activated. Events include children singing carol's, ice skating, giant ice sculptures, horse drawn buggy rides and much more.....Don't forget the hot chocolate drinking.....

The list of things to be thankful for is long, but I just wanted to mention one small event that really begins to stir my holiday juices.
